HIGH FREQUENCY PERCUSSIVE VENTILATION
*The VDR®-4 is a hospital staple for reliable Flow Ventilation® therapy, offering a proven solution for ventilating patients of all populations who have failed conventional types of ventilation. The VDR®-4 is dependable when other devices fail.
Designed specifically for hospital use, the Volumetric Diffusive Respiration unit (VDR®-4) is a pressure-limited and time-cycled ventilator which provides high frequency percussive ventilation (HFPV). This HFPV system supports both diffusive and convective flow by stacking breaths in cumulative sub-tidal volumes, allowing for air exchange, airway clearance and lung recruitment for most hospital patient populations, neonatal to adult. The VDR®-4 can be used to treat respiratory conditions including hypoxemia, hypercapnia, aspiration, smoke inhalation and ARDS. This unit is paired with the Monitron® II Waveform Analyzer which provides accurate, real-time visual waveform, pressures and alarms making the VDR®-4 a versatile tool for criticaland intensive care respiratory ventilation.
Application Areas for Percussionaire Ventilators: Adult Critical Care - The safest technology for fragile lungs, our IPV®1C, IPV®2C and VDR®-4 flow ventilators deliver air exchange, airway clearance and lung recruitment to ensure consistent, evidence-based outcomes in critical care patients. Our critical care devices deliver Flow Ventilation®that supports air exchange, airway clearance and lung recruitment for all patient populations and can be used to treat respiratory conditions including hypoxemia, hypercapnia, aspiration, smoke inhalation and ARDS. TheIPV®-1Csupports lung conditioning, which assists in the restoration of FRC by providing ventilation and airway clearance for most patient populations.TheIPV®-2Cenhances the versatility of IPV®therapy by allowing for added control, including demand CPAP to reduce WOB while transitioning to Flow Ventilation®, as well as independent CPAP for weaning. Effective for most hospital patient populations, theVDR®-4is a versatile tool for critical care respiratory ventilation and can be used for newborns and children as a non-invasive option for those failing NCPAP and High Flow therapies. It is a critical care staple, offering a trusted solution for ventilating patients of all populations who have failed conventional types of ventilation.
